Adult Choir
The mission of the Adult Choir at St. Joseph parish is to aid in the nourishment of the faith community of St. Joseph’s by enhancing our celebrations of the Liturgy. This ministry allows parishioners the opportunity to share their ‘talents’ while glorifying God. The Adult Choir is open to students in Jr. High on up to our valued senior voices! Our seasonal singers are always welcome too! We prepare a variety of sacred music to enhance the various liturgies of our parish as well as our Diocesan community. We are a ministry team that cares for its members and enjoys fellowship with one another. Rehearsals are every Tuesday, from 7 to 8:45pm in the church, September through May. The only skill required is a pleasant voice that blends well with your fellow parishioners.

Children’s Church Choir
The mission of the St. Joseph Children’s Church Choir (CCC) is to aid in the nourishment of the faith community of St. Joseph’s by enhancing our celebrations of the Liturgy. The CCC usually leads the parish in song at the 9am Sunday Celebration of the Eucharist during the school year, from September to May. We also participate in other special liturgies of our parish as well as our Diocesan community throughout the year. This ministry allows students in the 1st – 8th grades the opportunity to share their ‘talents’ while glorifying God. CCC members do not have to be able to read music, but they must have the reading skills to follow the text(s) of the songs we prepare. Rehearsals are mandatory and are held from 3:15 to 4:15pm on Wednesday afternoons, in the church annex B AND on Sunday mornings at 8:30am prior to the 9am Mass; other rehearsals are on an ‘as needed’ basis for special music, etc.

Cantors
The mission of the Cantors is to aid in the nourishment of the faith community of St. Joseph’s by enhancing our celebrations of the Liturgy. This ministry allows parishioners the opportunity to share their ‘talents’ while glorifying God. St. Joseph Parish is very blest to have many wonderful Cantors to lead the sung parts of our liturgical Celebrations. A ‘Heart for Worship’ and a desire to glorify God with the abilities He has given are essential in serving in this Music Ministry. There are no age requirements; however, there is a ‘training/audition’ process. Being a Cantor requires good leadership skills, strong vocal chords, a good sense of rhythm, a pleasant voice and flexibility – you never know how many verses or refrains you may actually sing during the ‘Presentation of the Gifts’!

Instrumentalists
The mission of our Instrumentalists is to aid in the nourishment of the faith community of St. Joseph’s by enhancing our celebrations of the Liturgy. This ministry allows parishioners the opportunity to share their ‘talents’ while glorifying God. Many of our Parishioners are talented Instrumentals that serve the Lord by playing for our liturgies throughout the year. We currently enjoy the skills of many fine woodwind, brass, string and keyboard players who share their gifts on a regular basis.
